About

My Short Story

I am a computer engineer based in Izmir. When I started my studies at Izmir Institute of Technology in 2016, I had the chance to discover various branches of software engineering. Since I deeply enjoy seeing the direct visual outcome of my work, I decided to build my career as a frontend developer. As I gained more experience over time, I realized that taking on a fullstack role and touching every part of a product motivates me even more. Nowadays, while I continue to deepen my frontend expertise, I am also constantly improving myself to become a better fullstack developer with the help of AI agents.

My Approach & Philosophy

I do not view the projects I develop merely as functioning lines of code. For me, every project is a holistic structure that must offer a high quality experience to the user. Aesthetic details, high performance and a solid technical infrastructure are not independent concepts. They are the essential pieces of a great product working in perfect harmony. In the modern frontend landscape, fluid user experience, clean architecture and sustainable code structure are always my top priorities. Alongside this, I love exploring new technologies. AI powered tools and new approaches that accelerate the development process are constantly on my radar. However, I prefer to adopt a technology not just because it is trendy but only when I believe it truly adds concrete value to the project.

The "Me" Behind the Screen

For as long as I can remember, I have been deeply passionate about almost every branch of sports. My sports journey started by playing football in the streets of Izmir. Later on I discovered taekwondo and completed this sport with a red black belt after years of dedication. Afterwards, I had the opportunity to experience different disciplines like kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. These days I regularly do fitness and continue to play football on the pitch whenever I get the chance. My love for sports does not stay only on the field — I also follow the games with great excitement as a devoted Galatasaray fan.

Another passion that is just as central to my life as sports is music. I absolutely love picking up any kind of guitar to explore new tunes and singing along as much as my voice allows. Besides these, learning new languages gives me a unique kind of joy. Thanks to my precious teachers in public schools, I can speak English as comfortably as my mother tongue. After taking two semesters of Spanish in college, I became so attached to the language that I currently have a streak of over 800 days on Duolingo and I am eagerly continuing to learn. In my spare time, I take great pleasure in reading books on etymology, anthropology and general history to explore different worlds.
